There’s nothing like stopping a press conference through raising the question of sex.
The BBC – who emphasised they had no “opinion” on the matter – asked Lib Dem leader Mike German whether he agreed with the filming in a Senedd toilet of a sex episode for the soap Caerdydd – which tells of antics of the young Cowbridge-dwelling middle classes of the South-East.
An hour later, the gallery was watching a jerky re-run on an office computer.
The press conference had been enlivened by the question – “What type of sex?”
The answer was seen to be hetero, and the pair seemed to be aching for it.
Part of the scene showed a Senedd corridor. But there’s no way two actors, cameramen, lighting, and so on could squeeze into any Senedd bogs. Now perhaps the first-aid room…
